The volunteer space is crowded with opportunities to get involved and make a difference. Unfortunately, many services fail to empower their event organizers to take full advantage of their volunteer groups. I worked with the team at Flourish to establish their new identity and core product experience leading up to launch.

A bold marked aimed at capturing users attention while communication the core intent of what it means to flourish. The mark originated from the concept of growth organization volunteering efforts, very much like a sapling first breaks ground.

Tailored Experience

The onboarding experience was two-fold. In part, an extension of the brand introducing human touches through animation and handwritten accents. It also drove to the core need — recruiting volunteers but, more importantly, retaining them by surfacing opportunities relevant to their profile building answers.

Beyond the consumer experience, I worked closely with their team to develop a system which would manage and improve the experience at an organizational level. A dedicated dashboard to manage opportunities, volunteers, and roles (positions) helped drive home the core purpose of Flourish — to make volunteering smarter.
